I hate winter
I hate winter. There is nothing good about winter expect for Momos, mosquitoes less nights,
The reason behind this is every winter I get fever. “Fever what’s wrong with a fever” you might say. But its not an ordinary fever, it will drain our all my energy. It has power to control my body temperature to a level of 103F. I sweat like dog. It seems no “panit-pati” will work.
Whenever this evil winter is outside my door my throat starts to hurt. Every night I will feel some uncomfortable itching in my throat sometimes accompanied by slight pain. Then one day the pain will burst. It will do what Trojan horse did to
I become weak, helpless like a handicap. Not even able to eat the foods which I know will make me stronger to fight with this fever.
This happens to me every year. It started I think during my BBS 3rd year (2002 or 2003). The year I fell in love with this beautiful girl seating next to me. Before that I never have experienced such amount of pain in my life. I cried then ; I cry now; cried so hard, cried all day and night for two days. The most hurting thing for me was I could not eat or drink. Hot soups and other delicious foods were brought to me. I wanted to quaff them but I could not. My throat won’t allow it. My own throat would deceive me, my won flesh. Every thing I swallow would hurt my throat like some butcher cutting a live goat. The pain is unbearable, at least to me. It starts with pharynx and will last till the food crosses larynx. I hate this. I hate this so bad. I hate this more than the pain in my joint, the taste of all these medicines stick to my white tongue – I forgot to mention my tongue becomes white at that time. I have this more than anything else in this world.
Now I am in a same situation. Helpless, in suffering, crying because of pain. However the situation is slightly different. I am on my own. There is no one to bring me delicious foods and all. I drink water to relinquish my hunger because this maid of mine, she is witch. She is also the worst cook of this world. This morning I ate her food and I nearly puked. It tasted horrible. I miss my home, my comfort. Uff this sickness, it is making me sicker.
